Nope, but we didn’t ask either side to contribute. Unless they spring it on us last minute, we’re paying for the wedding ourselves.

Darling Husband has an older sister and an older brother, so they had already paved the way. Since they contributed to BIL’s wedding, we asked them if they would like to contribute to ours. They graciously gave us enough to pay for about 1/3 of our wedding.

Yes! They are contributing about 5000 and hosting the rehearsal dinner. My mom paid for my dress and we’re paying for everything else. His parents are well off and spend a lot on FIs three younger siblings so they insisted on helping us since my fi has been out on his own and hasn’t asked for a dime since he was 18. He resisted at first but now he’s fine with it and we get to save the 5000 for a down payment on a new car :))

It’s just his mom. But she has graciously given us $1500 toward the venue and paying for the rehearsal dinner. His aunt is paying for the flowers and my parents are giving us an interest free loan for everything else we can’t pay out of pocket. We’re very lucky.

His mom is 80, so we obviously didn’t expect anything from her. She did, however, take care of the rehearsal dinner.

FH’s parents are paying one half of our wedding, and my parents are paying the other half.  We consider ourselves extremely fortunate, as I know this is usually not the case for everyone.

Rehearsal dinner was it. My parents gave us 12,000 and we paid around 10,000.

Yes! They wanted a wedding so they are paying for vast majority of it – I wanted and still want to elope. My parents are contributing $0 because they do not approve of anything that I do even though I am college educated, 27 years old, have been on my own for years, and have been with my Fiance for almost 5 years.

Future Mother-In-Law is also planning the vast majority of it. We are only paying for the rings, the officiant, the photographer, my dress and general look for the day, and FI’s suit. I looked at one of the catering quotes (the one they are going with) and the food is coming it at over $100/head not including the open bar. I feel kind of bad, but Fiance reminds me that they wanted this. We are also having only 40 guest. They had originally offered us $5k to do whatever we want in lieu of a wedding, but they are spending a lot more than that now. We are very thankful for their efforts and consider ourselves very fortunate.

Yes, they are giving us $5,000 to use partly for the wedding and partly as a wedding gift, which is super duper generous.  (Our budget is ~$12,000 and my parents are paying for most of the rest of it.)

My Mother-In-Law surprised me with buying my wedding dress for me when I had found “the one”. I’m not sure if she had planned on it, or it was a spur of the moment decision. Either way, we were very grateful.

My parents are paying for everything except my Future Father-In-Law is paying for the rehearsal dinner. I feel so blessed that my parents are doing this for us.
