OK ladies…I’ve followed this website for a few months and see so many diets, exercise plans, hair treatments, make-up…you name it and we women turn ourselves inside out, starve, workout, spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on hair & make-up to get ready for our weddings. Around my house, my Fiance is certainly not doing anything other than using teeth whitening strips and getting a haircut to get ready for our wedding next week. How about your guys? Are they doing any physical/appearance prep?

He’ll get a haircut and shave, and that’s about it! Me, on the other hand… massage, mani, pedi, highlights, lowlights, haircut, airbrush tan, hair and makeup. Ugh! Insert obligatory “it’s hard to look this good” statement here.

My Fiance got a haircut– which was only because I told him he couldn’t just buzz his head like he usually does. 🙂
But Fiance is also against me doing any drastic changes either. I am having a friend help me with my hair, I’m doing my own makeup, and the only real “altering” I’m doing is I’m going to do about 3 sessions in a tanning salon, just to help me eliminate some awkward tan lines that I have as a result of my job.

For the 30 days before my wedding (I started last week) I’m doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. I just want to feel a bit more toned for our honeymoon.
I’ve also started washing my face everynight..HORRIBLE that I didn’t do it before, I know!
We will both get our hair cut (dyed for me) and teeth whitened before the big day. I’m also getting bikini/eyebrow/underarm waxing before as well.

He’s ‘eating healthily’ although he has just eaten 6 chocolate swirl cakes so he’s not trying very hard.

He’s not dieting but he’s trying to bulk up for the honeymoon on the beach, and we’re both doing whitestrips and are going to build base tans. His problem is metabolism and a job that sometimes has him working outside in hot weather. He loses weight without trying. It’s maddening when I can barely eat a sandwich without gaining a pound (and feel guilty for cheating my diet) but he can eat all he wants and still lose! BAH!

Ha. He made one concession, he has stopped eating fast food until the wedding, and I think he has stuck with it so far other than one time in the five months we have been engaged. But his belly comes from beer, not from fast food lol. Oh well.

My Fiance is getting a hair cut or two so it’s perfect in time for our wedding…not too long and not too short. He’s become obsessed with what his hair will look like for the wedding. I’ve kind of stopped listening about it! Haha! Opps!

@FutureMsVW: How’s the 30 day shred so far?? I just got it in the mail today! 😀

My guy is trying to gain weight for the wedding, although not very hard. I feel like i have to force him to eat. Weird-o. And because he wants to gain, I’ve lost my running partner 🙁

Not a single thing. He didnt even want to go to a barber to get a nice hair cut…. He had me do it as usual.

he got a haircut heavily influenced by my opinion but that was about all he did xD

LOL. I agree it is not fair. My Darling Husband was just like your Fiance. All he did was get his teeth whitened and get a hair cut. And OH! remembered to shave.

He shaved his head- but that’s nothing “special” as he does that every second week.

he would like to lose a few pounds (but i don’t know if he’s actually doing anything about that) and i think he’s letting his grow out a little bit on top. that’s about it.
