they are getting to pick whatever dress they want (in a certain color) wear their hair they way they want, wear the shoes they want, and wear the jewlery they want.

Nope. They will all wear same dress but whatever shoes/hair they want. I was in a wedding where everyone had to wear the same style and to be honest i didn’t think it looked very good – I have long thick hair and my bff has short thin hair. Our “same” hair style made us both look ridiculous and we didn’t look the same (maybe it would work if your girls had similar hairstyles)? But, that’s just my 2c, and since I don’t have the $ to pay for their hair, if they want to pay, they can do whatever they want (including doing it themselves!)

My girls will be wearing their hair in the same style 🙂 lol. Am I the only one that wants to do this? I did get their input and we all came to the decision together. But I am really considering just letting them get a blow dry and leave it down.

I didn’t have any sort of requirement, but oddly enough, they ended up almost the same!

I think your hair and makeup is such a fundamental part of how you present yourself that it’s almost mean to force something on a group of girls you care about… that is just the way I personally feel. I expected them to obviously look classy and well-kempt, but I felt like whether they had braids, curls or blowouts didn’t really change the fact that I was marrying my best friend. 🙂

I left it up to them and the hairdresser.  I did pick up some hair accessorieis, but didn’t require that they were used.

I’ve never been able to choose my own hair style as a Bridesmaid or Best Man in a wedding! I wasn’t planning on letting my girls choose, but I won’t give them all the same style either. My Maid/Matron of Honor has short hair that she can wear down, and I was thinking some sort of sleek low bun for my sister, and a French twist for my other Bridesmaid or Best Man.

I let them choose how to do their hair. It just ended up that they all did it really similar. And they were all gorgeous!

i asked them to wear their hair down since mine was going to be back. plus 2 of them have really short hair so i thought it looked nice to have them all down.

My Maid/Matron of Honor has short curly hair, and she was my Maid/Matron of Honor, so I let her do literally whatever she wanted. And my 5 other ‘maids have medium-long, either straight or wavy hair. I had them straighten their hair and wear it half back. This made it so that they didn’t feel like they had to pay to get it done.

I tried to decide with them, but they all pretty much failed to get back to me whenever I would send them a pic via facebook. I chose an updo and white hair flower, but I was paying for them to have it done and for their accessories (as is custom in the UK) so I guess that meant I didn’t feel so bad deciding. Plus, I did try to include them

@MrsNeutrino: What if one of your maids has short hair? I’m guessing none do since that’s the style you picked… but I’m just curious what you might do if one did.

@countrygirl62312: I think my girls’ hair looked good because they all had such different hair. If they had the same style & colour & length that would have been a bit too matchy matchy for me,

I’m letting them wear it however they want.  They all know what looks best on them and I want them to feel comfortable 🙂
