    It’s not wasted, but of course I wish I had less debt.  There was no way around it though.  I did the best I could.  Going back in time wouldn’t change anything.

    For having a BS and MS, I actually finished with a very small amount of loans (about 32K) and have since paid them off. I wouldn’t be able to be a CPA without at least the BS. However, if I had a do-over I would seriously reconsider which college I went to. I could have had much less debt and ended up at the same place in terms of career.

    However, I’m not sure I’d actually change anything. All my closest friends are from college, and had I gone to the college where my father works (hence free), it would have been a completely different experience. However, if it was choosing between 100K in loans, it’d be a no brainer. I had lots of merit scholarships and became an RA to not pay for housing. I also always worked about 20-30 hrs a week during college, so I was able to pay for some of it while I was still in school.
