Ours did.  Are your ushers renting tuxes? I think if they are they should be treated as a part of the wedding party for sure, but it is nice to do even if they aren’t renting tuxes/special gear.

we have ushers and they will be participating in every wedding party function.  They are for all intents and purposes, extensions of the groomsmen.  The only reason they are ushers is because I didn’t want to have a ton of bridesmaids.

we only rented 1 limo because of budget, no ushers will be riding. We are having all the groomsmen and the groom picked up at the hotel (where they are staying, all Out of Town and where the reception will be held) the girls and i are going to drive since the chruch is minutes from my moms house where we will ultimately be getting ready. then from there just the bridal party and the two of us will ride to the reception 🙂

Nope, we did not have ushers in the limo or the wedding photos (gasp!). We gave them a thank-you gift and invited them to a brunch for people involved in the ceremony because they did rent a tux, but they were not groomsman — no standing up during the ceremony, etc — and we really didn’t need an extra 4 people in already-large group photos. I think of it as…if you have the ushers ride along and take photos, then why not the readers? and the program attendant?

I don’t think that our ushers will be riding with us if we do a limo. They probably won’t be in tuxes, and they’re mostly younger friends/relatives so they wouldn’t really feel comfortable/able to relate with our college/grad wedding party. Like madras said, we’ll get them a nice thank you and invite them to some activities, but I see them more along the same lines as a reader or a gift carrier, not really an extension of our bridal party.

Ours are most definetly riding with us in our party bus (WOOHOO!)  They are also going to be sitting at the head table with us.  The only reason they aren’t Groomsmen is because the church has a limit of how many can be in the bridal party.  They will be renting a tux just like the other boys, so we’re treating them the same.
