I’m so frustrated right now, Today’s high is supposed to feel like only the single digits because of the wind chill and I don’t have a warm coat. Why? Because North Face is moving like a snail!! My zipper broke on my coat just before Christmas. Knowing I need a warm coat, I mailed it out the very next day because North Face offers a lifetime warranty. The website says it can takes 3-4 weeks, sometimes sooner, and at rare times up to 6 weeks. Today is exactly 4 weeks since they’ve received it and I just called to find out where it is and they said it hasn’t even been repaired yet! He said it will still be a couple more days. Mind you I called a little over 2 weeks ago to find out if they got it since I hadn’t received any notification, and they said yes they got it and that I should have it back in about a week-week and a half. And now it’s been two weeks. We’ve had one major snow storm and two smaller ones since my coat was mailed out. And now this cold blast. And they tell me there isn’t anything they can do to make it go quicker. And it’s really annoying that they don’t keep me updated on the status of my coat. I got one dinky postcard after I called telling me they received it, but there’s no tracking number, no email updates, no phone call, nothing. I’m basically just left hanging waiting for my coat unless I call.
I know I probably sound like a whiney brat. I know there are a lot of places where it is much colder than NYC. I know a lot of people don’t even have coats, or if they do, they don’t have warm coats (like I’m now dealing with). But it’s just really frustrating. A company like North Face should be able to do better than this especially because I know I’m not the only person that is in limbo waiting for their coat, and some of them are probably in places colder than here and may not have any backup coat at all.
I really hate winter. really, really hate.
