@karma92:  Say, “I’m really sorry, but I cannot afford to do a trial.  If you are offering to do one for free, then we can schedule a time.  Otherwise, please stop asking me over and over — it’s stressing me out!”  Add a smiley face or something because god forbid a woman be direct, and you’ve got it.

@karma92:  Well, I certainly understand where you are coming from, but perhaps due to the fact that you haven’t shared with her your budget restriction she doesn’t understand why you are declining.

However, from her perspective, I can understand why it is a lot of pressure on her to only do it on the day-of and hope you love it.

I would say just to be direct about it, & then maybe she will understand. Perhaps she will even do it for free like my hair stylist did! I never asked her to, but she just told me it was no charge!
