The only thing similair that I know of is moroccon oil, which I use in hairdressing, but I also know it can be used for skin sparingly and is great for dry skin. It is expensive, but when I was looking to see if it was cheaper elsewhere, I found that its all pretty much a similair price…

@bridalblush:  I have some and I use it on my hair.  I put a penny sized drop in my hand and run it through my hair wihile it’s wet.  Afterwards, I dry it with a blow dryer and it makes my hair SO soft.  When I’m done drying my hair I leave whatever is left on my hands and let it soak in.

My old boss has horribly dry hands (her thumbs were always cracking) and she swears by Argan oil.  She puts it on at night before she goes to bed and sleeps with it on.

ETA-  I just went and checked the brand I own.  It’s One n’ Only and I got it at Sally’s Beauty Supply.

I LOVE the Josie Maran stuff, it’s the real deal pure and it works wonders. Beware of anything that isn’t completely 100% argan oil. And Argan oil is kind of pricey when it’s pure.

Always wanted to try Josie’s stuff. I use Moroccan Oil on my hair & love it. As far as hair care goes, Dove has a new leave in including argon oil that smells AMAZING & works wonders. Never tried the makeup infused products, but just wanted to share. I hear the benefits are great for skin too.

Hi!

I have recently started using rose seed oil. Its feels a lil weird to go from lotion to oil but I love it now! I only put it on at night but when I wake up in the morning my skin is still soft from the oil. I purchased it from the local esthetician school that my cousin attended. They make their own organic products but I am sure any brand rose seed oil you find will do.

I use pure morrocan argan oil in my hair. Just a dime sized amount every other wash and I’ve noticed that my hair has gotten much better, and as an added bonus it smells amazing! Sometimes I use it as body lotion when I run out.

@jitterbugella:  No, Bio Oil isn’t the same as argan oil. Argan oil comes from the argan tree in Morocco while Bio Oil is plant derived. I use it and it’s been great combating my winter skin. I put a few drops in my lotion and it’s amazing how much better my skin feels.

@bridalblush:  Look into linacare moisturizer. It’s a bit pricey but really retains moisture. No thrills or gimicks just a really pure product and one jar will last a few months.
