I’m with you, I like the first one much better.

Yeah…your choice is best, no question. That second one looks like a beach wedding to me.

The short one is way too informal. It looks cocktaildress-ish but not as classy. I also feel it’s not as mature for a wedding. It seems more college formal to me.

Let her know that the dresses need to be more formal. The one she chose is way too casual and will not at all look right with the setting you are having. First one or go shopping together to find a happy medium. But the researach I’ve come across so far when choosing Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses is (and this is for BMs of all sizes because I have very different size BMs) a darker color is more flattering to full figured girls, do not have them wearing anything too shiny, clingy or heavy; and Sweetheart or strapless will be a hassle for more full busted women. Let her know this.

Also wanted to add the source where I got this info from so you can also look into it more. I got my info from eHow.com. Just type in the question once you get there. There are plenty of articles about this. I went searching for plus sized Bridesmaids.

Dress #1 is more flattering and formal.

The first dress fits your venue and style much more. Maybe your Bridesmaid or Best Man just doesn’t understand exactally what you are going for. I think that the second dress would be great for a more casual or destination wedding  as it is a lovely dress, just not THE dress for your wedding vision.

I’d absolutely stick with your first choice. It fits your more formal vibe, plus I personally think it’d be easier for girls of different sizes to wear. Also, being a tall girl, I can see that second dress being seriously, uncomfortably, inappropriately short on me in the front!

I actually said “yikes” out loud when I scrolled down to the second dress, it is so far away from the church setting and the first dress (which is stunning).

@lisha_1988:  Definitely the first one! It will look lovely on all the hips/busts and the 2nd one is almost trying a little too hard… oh and the D-cup bust would totally pop out of the 2nd one!You have better vision of your day than the Bridesmaid or Best Man that proposed that short dress ;]

Thank her for the help but stick to your guns!
