The faster you take it back to the jeweller the more likely it is they will take ownership for the missing diamond.  Let them know ASAP!

@NVMox2480:  take it back, quickly!

hopefully they’ll have found it on the jeweler’s bench.

just in case, comb carefully through your car, living room, etc wherever you went that you can check, just in case it came out after the fact.

in the future, photograph with a time and date stamp your jewelry before bringing it in to be repaired or cleaned, just in case someone claims it came in like that.

@NVMox2480:  whew! at least you know it came out there. I would be having kittens over where in the big world it could be.

Don’t worry too much! It sounds like it was just a little (melee) diamond. Often the jeweler will replace those for free. If not, they don’t tend to cost too much.

I’m glad it all worked out. Can I ask if it was one of the halo diamonds that fell out? I always felt if I had a halo, I’d worry one of them would pop out & I’d be looking at my ring constantly.

@NVMox2480:  Yeah it is. I go faithfully every 6 months to get them looked at. I still need to insure my rings though.
