Now that I am actually able to eat (I’ve had miserable morning sickness that still lingers, even at 22 weeks), I am having an awful time controlling how much I eat. I never really had this problem in my first pregnancy..and I really want to remain healthy.
I just ate lunch.. and a peanutbutter cup, but my body is still screaming for food and DEMANDS Doritos.
Talk me down, girls!
I get this way every day at lunch. I am ok with eating a good breakfast & supper, but at lunch I just want to bury myself in food….and bad food (even after I’ve eaten a healthy lunch!!)

I’m 24 weeks and crave beer, tequila, and cigarettes…not sure what the heck that’s supposed to mean. I’m not even a drinker, pre-pregnancy I would have a glass of wine (didn’t like beer) maybe once every few months? And cigarettes I haven’t smoked or wanted to smoke in over 7 years!
Pregnancy is odd…lol!
Eat when you feel you need to eat, not just on a schedule…that’s what I’ve realized.. as long as you’re staying semi-active!

urchin: Haha its normal to have a more ravenous appetite in the 2nd trimester. You’re growing a human after all 🙂
That being said, don’t deny yourself food ever during your pregnancy, but do choose your foods wisely. So, if you’re hungry, I know that bag of Doritos sounds amazing, but maybe opt for an apple with peanut butter or a granola bar or something.

I’m 27 weeks and have found that once a craving hits, it’s best for me to just give in and enjoy it in a reasonable amount (umm except for BellaDee: ‘s cravings haha! I wouldn’t give in there :))
When I do give in to a craving, the good part is that it’s been every bit as satisfying as I would have hoped!

Last night I was almost in tears over a friendly’s clown head sundae…and I live in Georgia where there are no friendly’s 🙁
