My friends sent out their save the dates with a little more than 3 months until the day. I think it’s unnecessary since you’ll likely be sending the invitations in 2 months. BUT if you’ve already paid for them, then send them out! People won’t be upset having more notice

If you paid for them, just send them when you get them.

I received a StD from a couple, just four months before the wedding. They were the same ones who sent their invitations out only four weeks before. All I had heard, before receiving the StD, was that it was the last weekend in October. It ended up being on a Friday night, which I didn’t expect, so I wasn’t able to attend.

You already paid for it, you might as well send them. I am sure people will still enjoy getting them. My sister just sent hers out. less than 3 months beforeher wedding, so do what works for you!

I would skip it and use what the credit they gave you towards something else. When do you plan on sending your invites? If you plan to them around the 6 week mark thats not so bad. If you plan on sending them around the 3 month mark, I would skip the STD and save the postage.

I would skip them at this point if you could use the credit towards the actual invites.

I agree that it is a little later than expected but as others have said you paid for them so send them anyway. I think this is why some people aim for. 9 months ahead of time for std’s. I am sure it will be fine, though. No one plans a perfect event. 🙂

Call VistaPrint and let them know. They should be able to return your money. Let them know you want a refund and not new product. I had a problem with our StD magnets and they sent me new ones, of the new ones they sent about half were messed up. They gave me a refund on them. They seem to be pretty reasonable and have great customer service.

As far as sending them out…..if the cost of the stamps isn’t a big deal then go for it. If it was me I would hand deliver them to local friends and family and just let them know the situation and move on to the next thing. My family and I are pretty close so they would understand.

Honestly this close to when you’re sending your invites, I wouldn’t bother with STD’s. Magnets are expensive to mail and most people don’t hang into them very long. Just send your invites a bit early.

My wedding is in May as well I’m just going to do invitations.  We’re getting our engagement photos done tomorrow.  We are just doing a short engagement.  If I had them in hand I would send them.  No one is going to goto your wedding and make small talk about a white border.  confidence is key
