So a job transfer oppurtunity just fell into my lap recently, and i want to take it but now im conflicted. Do i leave a job where i like the work im doing, but hate the people/management, for a job that i loved the people/but did less then ideal work.
i work for the tourist industry and before the job i had now i had done the whole slightly mind numbing work but awesome coworkers thing for a while, but i took the job i have now to help my resume and skills. Ive been here for 3 years now, and i feel like i can go as far as they are going to let me go skills wise, i enjoy the work im doing, but i HATE management and the way things are run. So i put in for a transfer to a different area that i use to do, not thinking things would move so fast and just recently got an email to set up an interview in the coming weeks. I plan on going through with the interview just for the interview practice and experience, but now im hesitant about making the jump back.
Im almost positive i get to keep my pay rate, so im not to worried about that part, and ill keep my full time benefits. But bees have you ever decided to leave a job you hated for something that you enjoyed but wasnt ideal? Any stories, advice.
