Aria has a try-on program – check their website.

They’ll send you sample dresses and you can try them on and then send them back. You have to pay $15 per dress, though.

I got three samples. One looked terrible on me, one looked just okay, and one of them is a top contender for my dress! They are very comfortable, light and well-made.

I was considering Aria for my bridesmaids and went down to their showroom in Pasadena to see the dresses and speak with them.

First off- SO SWEET.  seriously, the lady we met with was very nice and answered all our questions.  I don’t think that ordering from them would be anything less than totally and completely pleasant.

Despite that, we did not end up going with them.  This was mainly due to the fact that their dresses are unlined and I didn’t want to ask my bridesmaids to pay $200 for an unlined dress.  But in retrospect, I’m not sure that they would have cared and the designs themselves were great.

That’s my 2 cents!  Good luck!

I went to the pasadena showroom. I had an ok experience. I tried on everything from a 10-14 because for some reason their 10’s seemed like each one were a different size. I tried the wedding dresses on NOT the bridesmaid dresses and the fact that they only have 1 underlayer does not work. I was soooo disappointed because for the price I wanted them to work really badly. If you’re looking for very very basic and simple it might be a good thing but I think in the end the fact that they’re so basic mixed with the fact that they don’t have enough lining and boning it just made them seem really thin and flimsy, I have too say I preferred the duchess satin over the silk shantung for this reason even though the silk is nicer it was just WAY to thin. Good luck!

I just ordered my Aria dress (the eyelet style 161).  I did the try-on program which was great!  Helped to pick the size I wanted, and they were very friendly, patient, and helpful on the phone.

2 of the 3 dresses I tried on had a lining (including the eyelet one I ended up choosing), so maybe it depends on the style and material of the dress?  The Aria wedding dresses are perhaps not so appropriate for a posh, formal hotel wedding perhaps, but we’re having a casual, daytime wedding, so it works out great for us because the dress is light and comfortable.  They also can make it in petite (no extra charge) or long (nominal fee).

My bridesmaids dresses are Aria and they love them! I loved it so much, too, that I bought one in black just to have! 🙂

PS-We didn’t do the try on program or go to a showroom…just tested our luck, I guess! 🙂
