lalanono:  you might still be able to get good results with laser after one session. Your underarm hair will fall out when it gets longer. You can shave the remaining hair before the wedding. It is worth a try.

lalanono:  I recommend investing in laser hair removal. Waxing over time is more expensive and increases your chances for ingrown hairs. You can go on Groupon and find good deals for it, just make sure you research the place before and fine one with good reviews.

lalanono:  I actually don’t get a lot of redness on my underarms, but my legs will stay a little red for an hour or so.  Everyone’s skin reacts differently though so I would recommend getting it done a few months in advance before your wedding.  That way you’ll have time to regrow the hair and get it done again before your wedding if it works out for you.

Laser hair removal. It hurts, but it’s worth it.

Laser. I had VERY dense underarm hair, and I think after the first treatment I was bald under my arms for about 6 weeks! I had two more sessions, and even now, 2 years later, I only get a light amount of growth.

I love laser.

I am currently in the middle of a 12 session laser package and so far its really good…. the growth is very slow and is thinning out a lot.

but if you are short on time absolutely wax… do it at least 24-48 before your event to make sure you dont have any redness if you have sensitive skin.  I waxed before starting laser (had to stop waxing for 1 year) and it would last me at least 1-2 weeks before I had regrowth.

lalanono:  Depends on how sensitive you are. It can be a few hours to a day

I have dark body hair and I’m planning on getting my underarms/legs laser treatments done because shaving everyday sucks. Since you don’t have the time to do laser treatments waxing would be another great option! I’ve never been waxed other than my eyebrows but from friends and family the redness does go away quickly (few hours at most). Best wishes!!
