I feel like my arms are huge too! My MOH KILLED my feelings by telling me that a wedding dress I tried on made my arms look fat. 🙁 One of the worst things she could have told me. Needless to say  didn’t end up buying that dress!

I am doing the same arm workout as you! My DH points out that I have very STRONG arms, but (I know this sounds sad) I would rather have thin graceful arms than bulky thick arms!

@virgomasala80:  if nothing changed from february to today, something is wrong with your routine. ask a trainer at the gym.

to lose weight you need to expend more calories than you consume.

try spicing up your routine a little more, try a spin class, yoga, kick boxing, etc.

or try the jillian michaels dvd again.

Girl I feel you, I am not loving my arms right now etiher. I’ve been just getting back to working out hard again after recovering from an injury which has been a frustrating journey. Trying to be patient with myself bc I’m not getting married til early next summer so I have plenty of time to get back in the shape that I want to be!

But my engagement party is next weekend so I’m presently shaking my fist at my arms as well since we’ll def be taking photos…

@SweetartMD:  I hate when people do that. I actually pre-tried on dresses at Nordstrom last week. I’m going to see my mom & sisters in NYC in a couple of weeks and I know I will lose it if someone makes a mean/critical comment about my body.

Right now I’m doing pilates 2x/week and swimming 2x/week. My goal is to start doing Crossfit workouts again by early July. Basically I broke my pelvic floor last year (isn’t that weird I ddin’t know that was a thing) so have been working on my core all spring to get strong enough to work out hard again. My first goal is to do Warrior Dash or Tough Mudder at the end of this summer & then I want to be happy with my arms in my wedding pix next May!

@virgomasala80:  what exercises are you doing in the gym? A mustaje most women make is falling for the “light weight high rep” lie. Also don’waisted time trying to target your triceps and biceps. Do complex upper body exercises like pull-ups (assisted), push ups, and overhead presses.

Don’t laugh, but I have 2 words for you…

SHAKE WEIGHT!!

Trust me, it works!  My arms were toned beautifully from using that.

@virgomasala80:  lol.. I know right.. but I swear it really works!  My arms have always been thin, but I wanted nice definition in them for my wedding.  It’s only a 6 minute workout, so I’d do it twice… I’m tellin’ ya, you have to get one lol.

when you take pictures make sure to hold your arms AWAY from your side! The tendency is for people to have them smack against their side esp when nervous so just make conscious effort to hold them away! on your wedding day it’s easy since you’ll be holding a bouquet, in other photos maybe place hands on your hips , look at models they never have their arms plastered against their sides !

@virgomasala80:  I’d find a new trainer. Pull ups, push ups and overhead pressed have worked best for me.
