    My husband wore standard ASUs. I didn’t like the full-on dress blues with the hanging medals and the bow tie, and we both agreed this version of the uniform was classy and traditional without being flashy. So glad they got rid of the green Class A’s!!!!!!

    I like the Army service dress better, but it depends on the formality of your wedding.  The groomsmen would need to wear suits instead of tuxes if he goes with that.

    My husband wore his mess dress, but he’s Air Force, and I like the uniform…plus we wanted more formal.

    @starrynight:  That’s an excellent point — the groomsmen at our wedding were in suits, not tuxes, so having Darling Husband in his ASUs looked great!

    We just plain don’t like bow ties, so that was that! Smile

    My husband wore Navy Choker/Dress Whites. Equivalent to the first uniform. Personally, I’m a bigger fan of the first photo.

    @GroovyHippieChick:  Haha, I can oblige:

    Darling Husband is on the left. Right was the chaplain that did our ceremony.

    @AutumnElegance:  The mess dress is fancier, no doubt. It’s the equivalent to civillian black tie formality. If the rest of the wedding isn’t a black tie affair, it’s going to look awkward and he’s probably better off in the ASUs.

    @AutumnElegance:  DEFINITELY go with flattering!  It’ll make a world of difference in the photos.

    And honestly, that’s a really fancy service dress.

    My Fiance is wearing his Army dress uniform. They change up so often its hard to keep up with the names. At first I didnt  want him too because I didnt think I could coordinate the bridal party colors but was told it doesnt really matter. So Tux for the groomsman and him in his uniform. GO ARMY!!!!

    I worried about matching for a long time, because we had three different outfits on the guys (Air Force mess dress, Marine dress blues, and tuxes).  Anyway, it still turned out wonderfully.  I did do silver/gray bridesmaids dresses to kind of tone it down…and because it matched all their captain rank (ok, I was kind of OCD about the colors). But really, don’t worry about it not matching the rest of your wedding…it will look great.
