I am hosting an Around the Clock bridal shower and thought of the idea to send out an envelope and request that each guest mail back a copy of their favorite breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert/late night snack recipes. I will compile them into a book, not just for the bride but for all of the guests. I just need help wording this request to attach to the envelope. I really don’t mind if they send more then 1 for each but I want them to be mailed by August 1. Anyone good with wording?!

“Meals are delicious
so is a good snack

then quick, send it back!”

Hmm, I would be straight and to the point. If you want recipes from each category, you will have to specifically request this as folks are not mindreaders, no matter how intelligent they are. Otherwise you may only get one per couple when you intended to get more.
For example on an insert card:
“We would like to share tried and true favorite recipes with our guests. Please send us your favorites from each of the following categories:

I’d start with @cecullaton’s suggestion and then follow with @Selene221’s.
I’m afraid you may not have many responses because people are just that way, but it’s a really cute idea!

Since its an Around the Clock shower, it would be easier to just request the guests send a recipe back to you that’s associated with the time they have for their gift.
You could make an enclosure card to go along with it stating their time and requesting the recipe. It can be as simple as ‘Please send me your favorite recipe for ___________. You can fill in Breakfast,Lunch, etc.,since I’m assuming you’re giving asssigned times of day?
