I was considering a Florida elopement myself before deciding to do it close to home. Yes! There are tons of packages.  Florida is especially easy because even a notary can officiate a wedding and there is no waiting period for nonresidents.

Or California… where?   I’ve seen several Napa elopments online that were beautiful.

We have a seperate Elopement board on the Bee that might be helpful.

@Berushka:  I bet they would allow you to perform the ceremony on site, but yes, do ask them when you find a place.  In fact if the place does full weddings, then they probably have an event coordinator.  If you want someone to arrange flowers, cake, etc so you’re not running around, I’m sure you can ask the lodging’s receptionist if anyone in house does that stuff.

Some hotels offer packages, but like you said there aren’t a ton.  It never hurts to ask them though or contact a planner in the area to help you out.

Some beautiful locations in CA are Monterey/Carmel.  You could do a beach ceremony there too.  San Francisco has lots of options—Golden Gate Park is just one of the many options or some hotels have great city views.  Up north in the Mendocino area, you could have a beautiful ceremony with a view of the ocean or at a cute bed & breakfast (some have great views too).

Many times a bed and breakfast will have a package deal like you are talking about..have you thought about doing that? Seems like most I looked at (in my state though) offered something.
