No- literally- ring the door bell!!!!
I was home all day waiting for a package from my mom with important wedding things AND I get an email saying that they tried to deliver but no one was home… Bullsh*t!!! I was home and the doorbell was working (I ran out and checked)…
*sigh* now to wait until monday =(
Does any one have any ideas how to prevent this from happening- ive tried to ring customer service and have left notes on the door saying “we are home ring th bell”, but they still dont… what did i ever do to you fedex?

I think your better off calling and tellin them you wan’t to pick it up at the facility! The delivery system is highly flawed, been there done that lol!

@Eva Peron: I agree. I’d call and have them arrange for you to pick it up at a Fedex facility. I seem to have trouble with all mail carriers.

We live in an apartment and our buzzer is broken so and they have yet to fix it. We have about 7 packages coming, but we can’t sign for/recieve them because we don’t know when they are here….that’s just as frustrating!

I always have to call FedEx and ask them where the hell my stuff is, BUT since I pay for my stuff to be delivered on time, they always track down the dispatcher and have them drive it to me directly, then refund what I paid in shipping. I appreciate that they make it right, but it’s annoying.

@Eva Peron: &
I tried to arrange to pick it up for monday, but the customer service agent said that if i do that then it wont be ready until tues because by the time the driver gets back to the dispatch unit its already past 5pm and they would be closed so they cant relabel it for monday…
Oh fedex- how u drive me nuts!

Our back room (where we spend most of our time) is practically sound proof, i swear we can never hear anything when we’re back there. No knocks/doorbells…we usually just pick it up at their facility, but sometimes they have a sticky sheet they leave on your door and you can check a box and sign it to say that it is okay to leave the package if no one answers…

@KatyElle: How do you make them drive it to you directly? Is there a secret?

@mmr66: I thought about that too, but when I checked the bell you can def hear it from the back…
