your ring is beautiful! My ring is smaller than yours but also vintage. I decided to go with a thin diamond band that followed the curve of my ring. I feel it works quite well without overwhelming or distracting from my delicate, cool ring.

I had the same problem… had to get it custom made.  If I were you I would do something understated.  Maybe match the diamond on the top or bottom of the ring.  It will make it look like a continuation of your ring.

Beautiful ring!  I would go with something very plain, like just plain white gold.

I have an art deco ring too, but smaller.  Here’s what I went with:

@Ms.GoodEarth:  I’ve seen your set and LOVE it! My band isn’t vintage, i really wish it were but we didn’t have a lot of shopping options as far as brick and mortar stores in my area.  Some day i’ll see about getting maybe an anniversary band or something that is the same time period as my ring.

I would get a thin, plain yellow gold band.  It will be so hard to match with that ring, it will look better if you just deliberately mismatch.

I think you should wear a ring on the opposite hand. Your ring is lovely and those curved bands just give it an 80’s look, in my opinion.

@Future Tompkins:  Thanks!  I love your set too!  I think the band complements the e-ring nicely!  I actually risked it and bought my wedding band from a seller on Etsy, GoldAdore.  It was risky, but I loved that it was an antique!

@rebwana:  LOVE the look of your art-deco ring with a baguette/round diamond straight band. I’m also a huge fan of the gap because I find it gives a vintage look.

rebwana. I also think a thin contour band would look gorgeous, and would leave a small gap that I really like. The wedding band should be distinguishable from your e-ring.

How about trying a simple silver color ring. Something thin not so thick. I feel that since your engagment ring is so stunning with the detail as it is why add to it more detail that will possibly make it look too clumpy or too exagerated. Personaly I think it would look elegant and flawless.
