@jayce: Same here- although it was heartbreaking, when he posted the whole “wifey” part- ugh- I totally let a few tears drop in class!

That was terribly sad.  Sad in so many ways.  It kinda freaks me out, making me scared to have kids.  This kind of thing you can’t predict.

I was not expecting the ending to be this way AT ALL! This is so terrible! She will never be there for any of her son’s milestones. He will surely miss her. *gulp*

I cannot even imagine the pain of the father, who now has a baby to take care of and grieve his wife. The baby will miss his mom SOOOOOO much. He has no idea at that age that there is supposed to be a ‘mom’.

And yes, this definitely has scared the bejesus out of me. As if I am already not enough scared.

i read this while BFing a few nights ago, it ripped my heart out thinking about that poor baby who will never know his mother.  its hard to remember that having a baby has risks with modern medicine, but that is why a healthy baby and mother is really all we can hope for!

@eupenmalmody: I couldn’t agree with you more.  With tears streaming down my cheek as I lay next to my sleeping toddler, I thank God for my blessings.  I need to make a point to slow down a bit during this holiday chaos and remember what life is truly about.
