has anyone done one? or in progress? care to share some pics? I’m thinking that aside from saving money, an artificial floral garland arch would look better in photos. I’m concerned that September heat may get to flowers and wilt them before the ceremony happens.

FrenchToastnCoffee : The wedding arch is perfect for artificial flowers because the guests are not close enough to notice or care.
Another option is to do the base with artificial greenery and wire one some smaller arrangements in florists foam.

FrenchToastnCoffee : My aunt will be attempting an artificial floral arch for my October 2017 wedding. It’s not going to be started until September though…so I’ll update you then

Mine is in progress, I will try to remember to upload some pictures tomorrow! But I am doing it by creating a chain of lots of greenery for the base and then layering different fake flowers into it, floral tape and floral wire are my BEST friends in this lol. I am trying to leave mine as flexible as possible so it can just be draped over the top of our arch easily. But my reasoning was the same as yours, our wedding is in august and I think the heat would just murder that 400 arch swag the florist quoted me haha

BTW–Is anyone attempting a double duty arch? I’m thinking of transferring the arch and having a more party/festive back curtain so folks can use it as a selfie area? I’m not having a photo booth and I decided against selfie sticks because when I finally bought a selfie stick it didn’t dawn on me that people have to blue tooth connect to their phone, and seems like it would take long for people to figure that out, make a long line, etc. but I figured it cant hurt to just have the fun backdrop, right?
