Jbeeza:  We honeymooned in Aruba in October and LOVED it! We stayed at the Marriott Stellaris. The island was very safe so be sure to do some exploring. Our favorite dinner was at Elements at the Bucuti. And our favorite experience was Jolly Pirates snorkeling trip. Any other questions let me know!

I’ve been looking at Aruba for our vacation in Jube but I couldn’t find any in our price range. (I do not want to paying $700 a night for a hotel) Either way, hope you enjoyed your honeymoon, I heard it’s really nice there

Love Aruba! We stayed at the Bucuti and had a blast. I know it’s a chain but not one around us so we really enjoyed going to the high rise area and having dinner at Texas de Brasil. But save your appetite! Among the other stand out activities was a half day tour of the island with a snorkel in the natural pool and a sunset catamaran sail.

Check our Aurba Bob for snorkling! He’s the best! And there’s is this little hole in the wall restaurant where the locals eat near there…it’s amazing! you eat right in the dock over the water! Oh and balashi beer is great!

Jbeeza:  My friend went there. Here is what she told me:

pro- very safe, perfect weather (there was no rain during the 10 days they went), beautiful beaches & clear turquoise water (good snorkling), powder-fine white sand, staff & locals spoke excellent English and were very nice

con- food is expensive (if you’re gonna eat at restaurant), downtown Oranjestad can be dead in the evening even on weekends (the place that has the night life is pretty much only high-rise Palm Beach area), it can have the feeling you are in Florida

She also rented a car for a few days to drive out to Arashi, Eagle, & Baby beaches, California lighthouse, downtown Oranjestad. Overall, she liked it a lot.

Go to Windows on Aruba! Also, take a jeep tour of the island and go swimming at the natural pool. We had such a blast!

We had one of our favorite vacations in Aruba. We stayed away from the resorts – its really worth renting a car and seeing some of the awesome beaches on the south side of the island like Baby Beach and Boca Grande.

You MUST go to Flying Fishbone for dinner. Its the most amazing view – our table was in the water so we took our shoes off and had our feet in the water πŸ™‚ Very romantic!

We also went on a great ATV tour. Have an amazing time!

When I was there we did an island tour and saw the rock formations, natural bridge, lighthouse (which had great views) and went swimming. It was all really cool! The water there is so nice because it’s so far south. Have fun!
