As a bridesmaid what would you rather get to get ready in? The wedding is in June and we will be getting ready at a country club.
I will also be giving them their jewelery, and I have a massage therapist coming in and giving massages for 2 hours. I will also likely do something else.
What would you perfer as a maid? I haven’t been one yet, nor have I even been to a wedding! I feel like the hoodie would be something that people can wear regularly, compared to a button down or robe. I am not a huge fan of robes personally.
My maids are mostly jeans/hoodie types and under 24.

I’d love to get a short robe to wear around my home. The satin kind. I was in a wedding and she did the oversized monogrammed buttonups. They were really cute but i’ve never worn it since then and it’s been a year. A HOODIE WOULD BE THE BEST imo 🙂

The hoodie! It sounds like you are being very appreciative
of your bridesmaids which is great. I’ve been in maid 5
times now and how the bride treats her girls is huge. I
love your idea of a massage therapist coming in as well – that
is so nice!

A hoodie I might actually use again. All the rest of the options I honestly would not have any use for outside of your wedding. Tbh I’m not really a fan of the matchy getting ready stuff, it makes me feel like you don’t trust me to look presentable myself and it makes me feel a bit like a prop to you.

Nothing monogram for me. Probably the silk robe.

I like robes, they’re nice to have at home. Problem with satin is it slides around and can be hot when you’re blow drying your hair. And terry is nice but bulky… this was my dilemma. So I ended up ordering beautiful thin cotton robes from Silke and More: https://www.etsy.com/shop/silkandmore
She makes them to order so you can give her your girls’ size and height and she has a TON of fabrics to choose from. Mine were ordered, made, and shipped here to FL in less than a month. I love how they turned out, I cant wait to give them to my girls next weekend!
As for hoodies, I do like that too. I just think they could be warm to wear while getting ready, especially in June. Maybe you get a few pictures together but I wouldn’t cound on them wearing them the whole time.

rubyrane: carre: I personally loved Monogramed anything haha. We live in Illinois so a good portion of the year a hoodie is useful. All of my maids are the hoodie and jeans type too.
loveisbrewing: In no way are my intentions to make them look like a prop, I just want to give them something useful to get ready in. I love how pictures look, but I don’t want everyone to wear “bridesmaids” and “MOH” blingy T-shrits!

I voted for the hoodie. I live in a cold climate and don’t tend to like gifts that are cutesy. The hoodie, to me, has the highest likelihood of actually being used beyond the wedding.

CDagger19: what kind of girls are they? mine would wantbfleeces, which is a great idea. would they be satin robe kind of gals?

VictorianChick: We are all very much jeans/T-shirt kind of girls. I love microfleeces though and think they are very close to hoodies.
