I posted a couple days ago with my 4 carat cushion asha and yesterday I got the 3 carat princess asha and here are the comparison pics. I have no idea which one I like more. I really love the shape of the cushion but the sparkle of the princess is incredible. They are both F/G color.

ooh pretty! I like the cushion cut personally.

Love the princess! I’ve never been one for the circle shape

I love the cushion, it looks like it has more “depth” to the stone.. the second picture of the princess almost looks like 4 fused stones. like it’s quartred or something? I’ve never seen a princess stone (especially on this large :P) in person, so I dont know if that’s just a feature of the cut.
I have a cushion cut stone though, so I may be a bit biased 😛
can we see what setting you are considering?

I LOVE princess cut stones. Mine has 4 princess cuts on top and form a big square and rounds on the side of it. It shines so much :o)

I looooooove the cushion, but then again I’m not the biggest fan of princess cuts. I don’t like the square edges.

the jeweler said they could easily switch the setting to accomodate a cushion cut

Cushion for sure!! Although princess cuts are beautiful, I think cushions are the way to go!!

Personally, I would pick the cusion, but that’s only because I don’t like the pointy edges. Also, Asha is CZ so they’re softer than other stones, and the corners and straight edges of the princess are more likely to chip than the edge of a cusion or round (unless you’re setting it in a bezel, but I don’t think you are).
Those are both beautiful stones, btw. I have an Asha round and I love it.

oooh you have an asha??!! How long have you had it?

I’ve only had it for a few months, but it is gorgeous and I love it! I also wear a morganite right hand ring, and morganites are supposed to be much softer than CZ. I wear it every day, and it looks as good as the day I got it, so I’m not worried about my Asha holding up at all!
