I am not a fan of Asha after owning one. I would recommend moissanite however! Ithink Asha is way too pricy for a cz.

Ive had both an asha and a moissanite and theres things i love about each and things i disliked about each. For this reason id suggest an amora gem. Its the pros of both stones without the cons.

Asha pro:

*diamond like in most lighting

*nice cut

* good color

Asha con:

* not durable for a forever stone

*goes flat in some lighting

*scratches

*takes on a blue tint in some lighting that gives it away that its a cz

*you have to clean it constantlyyyyyy

* pricey for a cz

Moissanite pro:

* durable and suitable for a forever stone

* firey/sparkly

* doesnt attract dirt and oil like a cz or diamond do so you have to clean it less often

Moissanite con:

*color- can be green, grey or yellow

*cut is not optimal and isnt diamond like

*extreme sparkle and color is a tell that it is not a diamond if you are trying to pass it

*pricey

My suggestion to you would be that you buy a straight up CZ. My favorites are from diamondcz.co.uk.

I’ve had a stone from them for 2 years in my engagement ring that I wear all the time, even around the horses etc, and it is fine. You have to be careful with it and don’t rub sand on your ring or anything but if you keep it clean and free of oils CZ will last a long time.

A hearts and arrows stone from diamondcz will cost about $10. For that price, buy 5 of them and replace if needed. That’s what I did, it costs $50 to have the jeweler replace the stones once every couple years but that’s all. You’d have to replace an Asha just as often so save the money up front.

I have some moissanite but the color and cut was really not for me.

I like to refer people with questions to prosumer diamonds. Vince is great. He does awesome non-biased reviews of diamonds as well as diamond alternatives like asha, moissanite and amora gem.

i really disliked my asha. in certain lightenings it looked like a diamond but on cloudy days, it appeared grey and dull.  i’m currently selling it. my jeweler told me he could get me a better quality CZ for $5-$10 bucks (he’s a wholesaler who set my real diamond so that’s his whole sale price).

sem0228:  I did not like the Ashas I saw but I really like these CZs. And the price can’t be beat. I would do the less expensive option if you’re not sure, definitely.

My complaints were that it was a grease/ dirt/ dust magnet- seriously, I have owned many diamonds, moissy and CZ, and no othr stone got as wicked dirty (and therefore dull and lifeless) as quick as this stone.

It was not cut any better (in my opinion) to a mall cz.

It was therefore WAYYYY overpriced.

sem0228:  I think Asha is overpriced for what it is. I would probably get a Wink CZ, as they are much cheaper and if you need to replace it you won’t be out hundreds. They look really pretty too. No idea how they hold up…but at what? $50-$100 it wouldn’t be impossible to have replaced regularly.

sem0228:  no problem. It’s pricier than a moissanite but it can definitely be considered a forever stone. I think it’s worth every penny

sem0228:  I used to have an Asha, and I really liked it, but I like my moissanite sooo much better. Like PPs have mentioned, Asha gets dirty very easily, is so white it’s almost blue, and looks very flat in some lighting. I didn’t realize all of this until I upgraded to a moissy.

Get the H color in asha if you get one. It is very pretty . I see f/g color asha look more fake then the H I have seen . I have a heart and arrow one in H color looks beautiful.  Itwas a gift to me . I havent had it set yet . Waiting until taxe time 🙂
