I am looking to upgrade my current wedding set. I have read quite a bit on moissanite and a little on the asha diamond. While I love the cushion cut forever brilliants I ultimately have my heart set on the Amora Gem which isn’t available yet :(:(:(
I would be buying a 2-3ct stone. I am trying to decide if I should buy a forever brilliant ring until the Amora Gem is available or buy an Asha. Cost wise the Asha makes more sense. But I am hesitant because I am worried it will loose its sparkle in time while waiting.
Can anyone help me decide or give me feedback?
This is the setting I’m in love with
Any advice would help!

@Zelda838: I had the exact same dilema….but I ultimately decided to have the Asha as a placeholder till the Amora Gem becomes available in a couple years. The setting I fell in love with was actually a MoissaniteCo setting, but since they also own AshaDiamonds – we are having it custom done.
The Asha will ultimately fade in sparkle, but not in enough time for the Amora Gem to come out. Most Ashas need to be replaced every 7-10 years so financially it makes sense to get the Asha until the Gem is released.
I was able to find the exact setting on the AD website for you as well. Good luck!

@karenlinebarger: exactly this. Asha is the most popular placeholder stone because it looks very nice for several years (with regular cleaning) and is very cost-efficient. I got a moissanite because I don’t want to change my original engagement ring, but if that’s what you’re looking to do, go for Asha!
