This is how I want to have my hair styled for the wedding, haven’t got any hair trial yet though, I  hope it will work with my straight heavy hair

@peonyinparis:  Ooops I noticed you commented on my recap so you’ve seen these. Good luck picking a style!

@Mrs_P:  Thank you so much!  The earrings and bracelet you can see in the first photo were gifted from my grandmother via my mom (my grandma had given all the women in our family jade and gold bridal sets.)  The necklace that was with it didn’t work with my dress but I deliberately stuck with the same color scheme when picking my necklace.

@peonyinparis:  LOL!  Thank you.  Is it bad that i want to take them out of the box and stare at them?

I actually think having thicker hair might work well for the styles you’re looking at.  My hair is extremely fine and straight.  She had to put it in rollers and tease it and put this crazy fake hair in the back bit to make it high enough and give it a lot of body.  It might be better to have thicker hair that would require less teasing.

@peonyinparis:  yeah same here, only that my hair being rather on the straight side. The biggest challenge will be that the volume holds and the pins don’t start slipping down in the middle of the first dance LOL (cause pins slide down on my hair, like always). I’d actually rather have a romantic updo, but I really see no chance with my thick heavy black hair

@peonyinparis:  Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚ They sprayed that thing so it was like a helmet! haha yeah it stayed up all day and night. I had a veil during the ceremony and switched to the clip for the reception and some pictures. My hair is actually curly and very frizzy, like 2C/3A curls (yep I’m some sort of mutant) so they had to straighten my hair out first to make it look like “real” Asian hair before they could style anything! I’m always so jealous of people with beautiful waterfalls of straight, shiny hair. Are you planning to have a hair trial? I think the “messy” look can be done very artfully with straight Asian hair, but because of the thickness and dark colour, we need to do a bit more to create the illusion of texture, and take advantage of the natural shine. Are you against having braids? Messy braids can totally give some added texture and soften the “formalness” of the style.
