I am so new to all of this. But of course I have a dilemma!
I haven’t set a date yet. But I am engaged. My issue is finding a nice place with Asian food. My fiance and I are both Khmer (Cambodian).
Ive been to many weddings where the food was not good, bad table service, uncomfortbale seating, and or small dance floor.
If I like a place bc of the decor and ambiance, the food is awful. If its not one thing its the other. I am just looking for something in btwn.
simply put, I am looking for a nice place with good food.
If you guys have any suggestions please fill me in.

I really wish I could help you but I’m in Houston, so the only places I know of would be here in Houston. Are you going to do the traditional khmer wedding ceremony? If yes and you haven’t gotten all the khmer wedding costumes, I have a bunch that I ended up not using so its all brand new and straight from Cambodia. If you are interested in it of course. My mom bought it all when she was up there but we decided to do something different and are going to have a Disney Wedding instead.

Sorry, I dont’ have a suggestion either but thought it was cool to see other Khmer brides on here. 🙂 Are you doing a total Khmer traditional wedding or something more Americanized?

I’m a Khmer bride too! Have you considered an Asian food caterer? We have found Vietnamese/Chinese caterer that cooks at the location so the food is fresh! On one hand, it opened up venue opportunities that wouldn’t normally have asian food, but on the other hand, it limited us to only venues that allow off site catering…
I am doing a Khmer ceremony in the morning and followed by the American ceremony and reception in the evening. It will be a mix of cultures as my fiance is Irish.
Right now my dilemma is wording the invitation?

I’m a khmer bride and from Boston to! Most are really bad service, but there is one in RI that’s quite good and they cater. PM me if you would like more info.
