That’s pretty.  We choose a state park for our venue, and it costed us $700 for use of gazebo and the reception building.

My worry with a public park venue is that I can’t control what strangers are around. I worry that cards or gifts might get stolen, or something like that. but I’m interested in a park wedding.

How do you plan to control access to your venue by strangers?

I had my wedding in a public park.  It cost like 200 or 250 to reserve.  People were pretty respectful.  I didn’t have my reception there though.  So are you habing the reception back at your house or there?

Here’s our venue.  Not bad for 250 buck plus chair rental. 🙂  I love park weddings.  Wouldn’t have wanted it anywhere else.
