- Wedding: June 2013
Today is my parents’ 25th anniversarry party and many of our family friends will be there. That means I will have a chance to ask my brother’s godfather, who is a judge, to officiate our wedding. I am not super super close with him, but they are great friends with my parents and I know he would do a beautiful ceremony. (He officiated his own daughter’s wedding last year. I couldnt be there but I heard it was really lovely)
Dear Fiance wont be much help because he doesnt know the guy and still thinks my mom (also a judge) should marry us (no way she could get through the ceremony…she’ll be bawling the whole time haha)
so I guess, how should I approach it? just walk up and say “hey will you perform our wedding? small talk first? would it be a bad idea to ask him about price? (mom says he likely wont charge us but i dont wanna assume) idk I am really socially awkward.
