I asked my bridesmaids 14 months before the wedding and no regrets! (Well, other than my Future Sister-In-Law but she would have been part of the wedding party no matter when I asked…)

I have no regrets, they’re my 2 best friends and my Sister. I’ve lived with all 3 at various points and I love them all.
That said, I don’t ask much of them. Their only “job” was organising the Hen Do, which they wanted to do as a surprise for me. They have arranged it all with my Mum and I’m looking forward to it.

So glad to hear your responses! I’ve been engaged for 2 and a half years already and now my wedding is set for a year and a half from now, and I couldn’t imagine waiting any longer than 14 months before to ask everyone. I’ve been hearing its recommended to wait til 9 months to a year before, but I’ve already been holding in asking the girls I want to ask for a while now.

I asked bridesmaids during christmas and my wedding is not till 2018. I have no regrets. They are my best friends and we have been through a lot together. I actully asked them in a very unique way. I found this shoe brand called http://www.katewhitcomb.com and they make personalized shoes for brides and bridesmaids. I had my bridesmaids’ name and their birthdays inside the shoes. They both loved it. Here is the shoes I got them…
