Hi there-  I found these great photo cards at Target that happened to be on sale (6 cards and envelops for 7 dollars). They came so it was 3 cards attached on a ribbon that you could hang. I wrote a cute poem, found pretty patterned paper and filled the first slot with a picture of us together, the second with the poem, and the last with the paper and the end of the poem which asked them to be my bridesmaid.  It was nice because I was able to send them a mini-booklet that not only included their invite but a sample of our colors (I just used colored scrapbook paper from micheals), the date, and the link to our website. They loved it and were so excited to call and accept.  It was pretty simple and I only spent about 10 dollars total for 6 invites and I was able to make it really personal. I highly recommend it! Good luck…

I did something similar – created my own "will you be my bridesmaid" cards via a few crafts purchased at Michaels.  I also incorporated our colors and a quote and a photo of us together!  They all loved it and couldnt wait to call and say yes!   Have fun with it!  I also know someone who had invited all her BMs over to her house for a "lunch" and surpirsed them all by popping a bottle of champagne and announcing that she wanted them to be in her bridal party!   They were all local so that worked — most of mine arent near me so I couldnt do the same.

I went thrift store shopping and bought three of the most horrific 80/90’s bridesmaid dresses I could find and simply mailed the to their houses with an enclosed card. I had it so they had to read the card first, in which I wrote something like "It would mean so much for me for you to be my bridesmaid, and I already picked out the dress!" They then opened the package to find their super awesome dress. They have already taken pictures in them and are planning on wearing them to the bachelorette party.
