So after many many months of “working” on this ring, I finally have my emerald RHR and it is beautiful! I say working on it because I picked out the setting, waited a month for it to arrive, it came with defects so sent it BACK, waited another month for it, then began the hunt for the perfect stone (DO NOT RECOMMEND – always buy the stone first!), and a week to have it sent, it’s ready!!

I tried to get it in as many different lights as possible. Anyone who has an emerald knows it can be moody; in some lights in looks bluer or greener, and the true green was difficult to photograph but this stone GLOWS.
I sorta wish the rose gold wasn’t so rosy, but the setting is what caused the most heartache. Like I mentioned above, after waiting three and half weeks, it came but part of the milgrain messed up. Back it went, but the USPS tracking was bad for some reason and it showed up as delivered 1000 miles from the jewelers! I almost had a heart attack, and luckily the sellers were honest and emailed me when they did recieve it, but man I though I was out the $$. That’s what saved them the negative feedback… If you’re interested in the seller (ebay jeweler, but in the US with a physical storefront) you can PM me. They have gorgeous and pretty cheap settings!
The setting is so delicate that I think I’m just going to save it for special occasions and nights out, but I know the ‘bee loves its ring porn 🙂

@GoldfishPie: I had a ring JUST like this once in the 80’s when I was a teenager. Loved it but have not been able to find another one because yellow gold/rose gold is so out of style now. It is so unique!

@twinklepigz: I’ve read thru a bunch of your replies and I have to give you the Most Accomplished Backhanded Compliment Giver award.
“that dress really reminds me of the 80s”
“that ring is so dainty and cute”
“that ring reminds me of something really outdated and out of style”.

@mamadingdong: Well, I take offense to that! I LOVE the 80’s and didn’t know dainty and cute were insulting!! and that third thing I never said. Sorry if I have offended you or anone else.

She’s just a troll, it’s cool. Twinkle, I can tell you’ve got a thing for the gaudy, outdated, 80s yellow gold ring look based on your “new” ring! That is, if it’s even yours. Careful, I might bid on it! I hope you and your Fiance can custom design a new one!
