asscherie :  an asscher is technically an octagon, because of the cut corners. Once you have prongs on (especially if they’re bigger prongs, double claw prongs, etc..) it’ll look more square. You could even have a square halo, Ritani for example sells an asscher halo that is a square rather than the shape of an asscher. I think the stone looks good, but I think it’s one of those weird angles where it kinda looks glassy. Have u watched videos of it on instagram at all? Most of the time i think they look glittery and pretty but there’s always an angle where it looks this way 🙂 I can’t wait to see what the finished product looks like!! Asscher is my favorite moissanite cut, it looks amazing with the double refraction

Hey bee,

I can’t give an example for an entire ring but I ordered the Asscher forever one stone, and mine looked more square. It was, however, the smaller size…6mm.

I didn’t end up keeping it though. My choices were between an Asscher moissanite/amora gem or a cushion cut yellow diamond (I couldn’t find an Asscher with the specs that I liked in my price range). I ended up going with the diamond, but I have to say that I actually like the cut corners of your gem…I would just assume that C&C would cut all of their moissanites uniformly despite size differences?
