we are down to the homestratch, 2 more months to go
I am so excited planning all the details
I am planning a seating chart to direct people and planning to have place cards at the table for the assigned seating so they know exactly where to go
so when you do the seating chart when you put it ona board for easy reading for peopel to locate their tables–what is the order of the names? is it the order as they sit in the table; the order of their importance or alphabetical order?

We did alphabetical order just so it would be easier for guests to find themselves.

I’d do alphabetical. It’ll help with the flow of guests and not cause bottlenecks (hopefully!)

We put the names on the seating cards in alphabetical order. This seemed to be the easiest way for people to find their name and location.

I second the idea about putting them in alphabetical order. I went to a wedding recently where the names were listed by table number. People took forever to find their names, since there were 18 tables . . while I was waiting I read the names in a corner that was visible. Luckily, my name happened to be in that corner.

I would also definitely to alphabetical order 🙂

Alphabetical, no question. I have never seen it done otherwise and it would be a huge annoyance for me to have to search for my name by table; and I hope I would never find out it was done by importance either.
