I won’t have my next ultrasound until 19 wks. I’ve heard that some doctors are able to determine the baby’s sex pretty early on.
I just saw my OB at my 16 wk mark, but the doctor didn’t do an ultrasound since she knew I had an appointment with the perinatal specialist coming up (the specialist has better ultrasound equipment). The appointment with the specialist was supposed to be today, but they called to reschedule for 19 wks since it’s “too early to do a detailed analysis of baby’s development.”
Darling Husband and I really wanted to go to today’s appointment in case they were able to determine baby’s sex. Now we have to wait another three weeks.

We found out at 19 weeks. My Darling Husband couldn’t make it to the week following and I wanted him to be there when we found out.
It’s my understanding that they can’t find out sooner than 18 weeks, but there might be some bees who have found out earlier. I also think that the closer you are to 20 weeks, the better since that’s when the baby’s organs are developed enough for what they’re looking for.

We also found out at 19 weeks. My doctor’s office won’t even do the fetal anatomy ultrasound before 18 weeks because they said the most accurate gender tests are done between 18-22 weeks.

Technically at 13 weeks at the NT scan.
The ultrasound tech said that she saw boy parts.
This was confirmed at an independant gender scan at 15 weeks and again at the anatomy scan at 20 weeks.

We had an elective ultrasound elsewhere at 16 weeks and found out then. It was confirmed at my anatomy scan at almost 21 weeks.

I just found out at 16 weeks because my doctor decided to do a surprise ultrasound. Yay!
