here she is ladies! i finally had my first fitting today and i’m feeling much, much better about my dress now that she’s close to being done! not quite sure about the bustle but its definitely better than the under bustle, which i thought looked weird…would love to hear your thoughts and ideas!
i posted about my hair trial a month or so back…should i keep it up? or have it down?? i’m not planning on any jewelry and am worried i’ll look too “naked”?!?

I think down, in loose curls, would be gorgeous with this dress, especially if you’re not doing any jewelry.
You look beautiful, and the dress is so pretty!

That is a gorgeous dress and it looks great on you! If you aren’t wearing any jewelry, then I would definitely suggest wearing your hair down. However, if you really want to wear your hair up, I think stud earrings would look great.

You look lovely in your gown. My hair suggestion is to do a half up half down style.

Do you have any pics of the french bustle? I was thinking it would look better. They’re stronger too…
LOVE LOVE LOVE that dress on you… not really a fan of that bustle though…

That dress is absolutely stunning on you. IMO I think you should wear your hair up. You have such a delicate elegant frame and your dress has the perfect amount of detail. I vote up w/ stud earrings…Here is a picture of inspiration, pretend you don’t see her bracelet, LOL

Stunning! This is one of my fav dresses! Will mos def consider it IF I am so lucky! 🙂
And I second what huckleberry said – hair down in loose curls would be perfect with this dress.

That dress is gorgeous! And you look amazing in it!
But I have to say that I’m not crazy about the bustle at all. What are your other options?

That’s a great dress. I think you would look nice with hair up or down, but if it’s a late summer wedding, hair up might be cooler and last longer.

Love the dress as someone else said the bustle doesn’t do the dress or you justice. Your hair would look great down

thanks everyone for your comments!
just as i feared, the bustle is slowly deteriorating in my eyes also . the seamstress first tried a very rough french bustle (the one that goes slightly under the dress, right?) and it just didn’t look right…maybe it wasn’t done properly, because seeing other photos i’m thinking it might just right for the dress to keep the detail exposed in the back. i was just there this afternoon so hopefully it is not too late or it can be re-done.
anyone have ideas or photos of alternative bustles that might work?
on my hair, i’m torn! i generally wear my hair down so on the one hand, i would definitely feel more comfortable (and confident!) BUT, i don’t want to take away from the day and look too “normal” if that makes sense. plus, the very rough half up/half down style my stylist tried looked TERRIBLE. i would love some of your suggestions/photos!
thanks again everyone!

Love, love , love the dress. I vote for hair down.

hair up and a french bustle. i think with the flowy fabric the french bustle will look nice after it “settles” into place.
