I loved the DJ/Dancing (we had so much fun!), I loved being a part of it all (it was my sister’s wedding and I was her MOH), and I loved the venue.

I disliked the photographer, the flowergirl (kept us totally unfocused during the ceremony…thus we aren’t having kids in our ceremony), and the way everything seemed kind of thrown together (i.e. there was no first look, my other sister threw a hissy fit 10 minutes before, and we forgot to give the bride and groom a proper exit)

This should be an interesting thread!

The last wedding I went to Fiance was the best man. I can’t really think of anything I hated really, there were some things I would have done differently, but overall they had a beautiful wedding.

Three things I loved though:

1. My hottie fiance in his tux! 🙂

2. The mariachi band which was the bride’s father and uncle. (And we’re going to ask them to play for our reception too- as a surprise for my grandmother)

3.Their menu- they had two buffet stations- South of the Border with all sorts of good Mexican food and South of the Mason Dixon line with what was the neatest Shrimp and Grits set-up.

Three things that could have been planned differently:

1. The lighting- the entire wedding and reception were outside as it got later, it became harder to see.

2. Mosquitoes again being in Florida and being outside you really cannot help that.

3. I can’t think of another. She did an amazing job with getting all the details and such worked out- and she’s offered to help me plan our big day!

Last wedding: post college friends this summer

Things I LOVED:

  1. The bride’s dress – a GORGEOUS lace mermaid concoction that sheathed the bride & flowed out to a beautiful chapel train
  2. The flower girl – the bride’s less than a year old niece (first grandchild), carried down the aisle by her father
  3. The distance between the ceremony & the reception – practically walking distance!

Things I would have done differently:

  1. Unprofessional look/dress of the day of coordinators at the ceremony & reception (two different ladies) – at the ceremony (which was cocktail style), the DOC was in black tights, black T-shirt, & a dark grey (I can’t call it black) denim vest…at the reception, the DOC was dressed properly, but her hair was sloppy & looked like she didn’t even brush it (& not in a stylish, bed-head way)
  2. The pushiness of the videographer – the team kept getting in our group of friends’ faces to say a message at inopportune times (in the middle of one friend’s story, while we were eating dinner, just as we all were getting up to do a surprise for the bride & groom).  It made all of us NOT want to say a message…finally a (tipsy) friend told the videographer to be more polite & just film the surprise as our message
  3. The lack of someone in charge of the iPod during the reception dancing…kinda killed some dancing moments

Hmm my FI’s sister’s wedding was the last wedding I attended.

1. they greeted each guest and dismissed them to the reception

2. the ring bearer was beyond adorable

3. how emotional & happy they were

1. food — trays of sandwiches from Costco were ok, but the vegetable trays and fruit were over ripe

2. bouquet/garter toss

3. cake from Safeway was lopsided. 🙁
