You still have time to hold out a bit to see if a size 10 or larger (you could take it in) will come up on ebay or preownedweddingdresses, etc…

Is there another area of the wedding where you could scale back in order to have more $ for the dress?

How about starting a post in the classifieds for brides who have a 10 but will be wearing it between now and your wedding? I know people do that sometimes – they agree to buy the dress from the bride before the wedding date and then get it after? I’m not really sure.

Both dresses you just posted are really beautiful, btw, but if you are set on the other, I wouldn’t settle.

Watch recycled bride, once wed, preowned wedding dresses, ebay, and craigslist.  Widen your searcg on craigslist to. It would be worth the drive.

i had the same situation i fell in love the maggies poppy and actually went out shopping yesterday and found a dress that i love that was half the price. so keep looking and if all you can think about is the maggie, keep checking on here and ebay. it will work out in the end. 🙂

Some Maggie Sotero dresses are “inspired” by designer gowns.  I don’t know the dress you’re referencing, but perhaps you could find a designer one on the pre-owned sites for less than Sotero’s retail prices?

EDIT: Yep, that’s modeled after a SLEW of other designer gowns.  The original was Sunday Rose by Monique Lhuillier, but Amsale’s Bijou and Jenny Lee’s 1101 came soon after.  There are loads of dresses that were created in recent years to look like that dress.

I loved the venecia too, and tried it on, but like you I thought it would be too heavy for a summer wedding. Check out Impression Bridal, their prices are VERY reasonable and they have some dresses that are very similar to the venecia. Good luck!!!
