I haven’t thrown up and now feel safe that I probably won’t. (I’m 17 weeks). I did feel like I had been on a boat on and off for a week and that was between weeks 6 and 7 weeks. Sort of like a motion induce woosiness. I never vomit though. Haven’t vomited sober since I was 5 years old. (2 times in college, tequila= me throwing up). I just am not prone to being ill that way. So if you NEVER throw up from the flu, or tend to have an iron stomach from motion- you might go the whole pregnancy and NOT throw up. Though realize that my ‘wooziness’ that one week does ‘count’ as morning sickness in many of the statistics you read about. So when they say 75 percent (or whatever) of women experience morning sickness- a lot of us just feel gross and eat food and it calms down like 10 times total and they are counting us in that giant number of people that ‘experience morning sickness’. Me- I don’t count that personally. It was easy. I know people that threw up the entire pregnancy Or a ton the first trimester. Feeling off for a week if my stomach was empty has been the least of my issues.

I had a bad go of it. From 6 weeks on I was nauseous and vomited almost daily but my rx for diclectin did help. I missed work and also had to work from home occasionally because i had it so bad. I once puked all over myself and the car as I was pulling into work. I had to turn around, go home and change while Darling Husband cleaned the car….sweet lover 🙂

I learned to carry extra clothes with me. Especially extra panties because the vomiting and retching always caused me to leak a little.

I suffered right until the end and it would bug me so much when people would see my green face and ask ” still?”

I even got nauseous a couple of times after birth while my hormones were adjusting. Even a year later, I get flashbacks if I cough too hard. Fun times.

It’s not safe until after the baby is out, unfortunately. I had mine every single day from 6w-17w then it slowly petered out until in the last couple of weeks (I’m 39w now). I was up all night last night feeling incredibly nauseous and threw up again this morning. Not much longer now though!

Never safe to say!  Mine didn’t start until 9 weeks and even my Doctor was all, “Well, that can’t be right.”  But sure enough, it stuck with me until 15 weeks hardcore.

So you’re certainly not out of the clear yet!
