We are having our wedding on a Friday afternoon/evening in September. Our church is in Duluth right off of 141. Our reception will be at the Trolley Barn downtown.
We are trying to figure out how to set the time so that people will hopefully not be in traffic getting to the church or the reception. We will probably advise people to go 141 to 285.
ETA: We are having a full Catholic Mass and the ceremony portion will probably last about an hour and 15 minutes start to finish.

First off, yay Atlanta! The Trolley Barn looks so cool, just looked at pictures of it the other day!
My first thought is to figure out when you’d like your reception time to be (I’m guessing it will be a dinner?) and then work backwards from there, allowing for traffic and pictures at the church if you’re having them. Check for any events in downtown that night in case you need to adjust for that as well.
Hopefully guests know to always leave time for Atlanta traffic on a Friday, but ultimately that’s not something you can control. Even if you sit in traffic a little on the way to the reception, that can be some special time spent as newlyweds together. 😉

@FutureMrsT1221: I actually commute to Duluth every Friday evening almost (to spend weekends with my FI) and 285 starts getting tricky right around 4 and stays that way until 6-6:30. The actual traffic on Pictures In Bio and 141 stays lighter longer.
I have no clue what to suggest for getting downtown, though, unless you want to have a later wedding. It seems like getting downtown can vary day to day.

Yikes. I’m in Marietta, and while that’s a ways off from Duluth tbh I try not to even fool with the interstate on a Friday….at least not after 2:30
I would def do a later reception
