Have any of you been to a wedding/event at any of these locations? I am narrowing down my venue options, and thought I would run my favorites (so far!) by you to get your take.
p.s. Our wedding will be a formal, evening event.

I don’t know about Four Seasons, but I checked out both Biltmore and Chateau Elan for my venue and it was Biltmore hands DOWN. I didn’t see the Largest ballroom for Chateau, but each of the smaller ones were very conference room like, and not suitable for a wedding, IMO unless you get a professonal decorator – not worth it for the price.

I know someone who had their wedding at the Biltmore and it was gorgeous! I checked out Four Seasons (early 2009) and the min was 25k which was too much considering we’re only trying to have 100 guests but I found their packages pretty affordable (considering it was the 4 seasons) and the package prices included tax which was great, it’s worth checking out.

I am having my wedding reception at The Biltmore and I am so excited! It is THE most beautiful ballroom I’ve seen in Atlanta and over the other 2, it wis hands down!
Do a walk-through if you haven’t already and they’re so nice, they might let you come on a day that they’re setting up for a wedding and let you peek in!

Biltmore!! So so so gorgeous and just perfect for a classic, formal southern wedding 🙂

I liked the Biltmore but am I the only one who was a little dissapointed with the lobby area? It doesn’t match the decor of the ballrooms.

Thank you so much for all of the feedback!
Since my original post, I have done a walk-though at the Biltmore while a wedding was being set up . . . my Fiance and I fell in totally in love with the Georgian ballroom. I have also met with the coordinator at the Four Seasons (her name is Cate Morris and she is wonderful!), but in the end, I think the Biltmore will be our choice (unless we scrap everything and go with a destination wedding! lol) . . . The Georgian is the only location that made Mr. Cosmo say *wow,* and he is not easily impressed.

YAY!!! I LOVE the Biltmore and I have to agree, I have never seen a ballroom as gorgeous and my Fiance is like yours, he’s not into details and decor and such but when I showed him pics I took (he’s deployed) he was wowed and really impressed and excited! I had previously looked at the Georgian Terrace and almost went with them but when I saw the Biltmore, that was it. I’m so happy for you!!

Another great venus is the GA aquarium. Catering by Wolfgang Puck.
We attended a formal event last december and it had the “wow” factor and they had us enter down a carpeted area (a la hollywood red carpet style) and it was so awesome!
Having it all to yourself or the main ballroom is fabulous! Our main event space was inside of the ocean explorer (I think it’s called that) where the main huge viewing space of the tank where the whale sharks are.

The Biltmore is gorgeous. Here is a nice photo of the Imperial Ballroom. You can see the details in the ceiling and the columns. You definetely want to add lighting to get the most dramatic effect for evening weddings.
Chateau Elan is also nice but you go there for the vineyard. The atrium is beautiful for a ceremony. But I agree the ballroom is pretty bland.
The Georgia Aquarium definetely has the Wow factor!
