We are planning to have a day after brunch with our families, but we are having a hard time finding a place. Any ideas or recommendations? We are getting married at Park Tavern so anywhere close by would be better.

Are you looking for fancy? Casual? Buffet? Lalya gave alot of great suggestions!

@Kmsull – probably more casual, I think it is going to be a come and join us for brunch on your own tab sort of thing so hopefully not too expensive either. Thanks for the great suggestions so far!

I highly recommend the restaurant inside the Georgian Terrace hotel, Livingston. I had my bridesmaid’s brunch the day of our wedding there, in the private room that seats 16. They can also reserve spaces for larger groups, and the breakfast buffet is delicious! Something for everyone in a georgeous space. It’s $20 per person, but feels more expensive than that.
Their group coordinator is Kellie Wilson, she’s really nice and helpful. Email is [email protected].
We also had family meet up with us for brunch the day after, totally on a pay for yourself basis, at the hotel we stayed in downtown, the Ellis. It was so fun and relaxed! No one had a problem covering their own tab, we just let the Ellis know we’d have a big group. It was awesome.
The hardest part honestly is finding a place that will take a big group reservation. Luckily, the Ellis and the Georgian Terrace aren’t super hot spots, so they were very accomodating. I doubt you could get the flying biscuit to allow you to make prime time reservation for 20+ without some cash upfront. Good luck!

Canoe is fantastic and has private rooms. If that is too far out of town check out Murphy’s in the higlands. They are both great.

Yum! I second peachblossom with Murphy’s! It’s my favorite place for brunch. It’s not super cheap, but definitely in the $12-20 range, and it’s got such a lovely atmosphere. AND, it’s close to Piedmont Park. 🙂
