I have not been on or said anything in awhile really, planning has been stressful and a bit lonely. My family is not here in Atlanta and my Maid/Matron of Honor (cousin) is no help at all she told me it is overwhelming and not her thing. I wish I knew that before I asked, but that is another story for another day. On to the great news
I am so excited we finally booked our venue, it is called the The Piedmont Room on the corner of 10th street and Monroe. It’s along side Piedmont Park, where we would get some great photos in the park. It only cost us $1300 for site fee they will provide, ivory linens, uplighting, stage, dancefloor and different size tables. Lauren seems great and look forward to work with her. I need to find a new planner (another story too). Also, I get 20%off on food and beverage

Beautiful venue! I agree with your Maid/Matron of Honor though…I wouldnt want to help plan someone’s wedding. It was annoying enough for myself and I have a life. You can do it…bit by bit. Work on one thing at a time. Your Fiance should be helping! Your family (mom?) can help from a distance in this day and age with texts/emails/internet/etc. You will get it all done!

@JJSoon2bwife14: I LUV LUV LUV the venue! And what a steal! Try to maintain your composure and stay focused on your groom. My Maid/Matron of Honor, my cousin dropped out and I was devastated BUT it’s about one day that starts the good stuff, the rest of your lives together. No stress!

@gelaine22: Great advice… I just did my binder and wrote out what I want exactly. I am thinking of a candle light reception with purple up lighting, floating candle w/flowers, or ivory/champagne or purple pearls. I want it to be simple, inexpensive but look like I paid a lot. MY Fiance is a great help, he gives me his input sometimes when needed.
