We finally chose a date and a time and a place (August 31st at the Fernbank Musuem)! Save the dates were sent out a end of January.
Because both our schedules are hectic and because neither one of us have family in the area we are in the process of looking for a wedding planner.
Has anyone ever worked with B Moore, Peachtree Weddings, BASH events, Sashay, or Molly McKinley? If not, who did you work with and why? Did you look for someone who has years of experience or is kinda new to the field? How important do you think it is that the planner has worked at your venue before, or does that not matter?
Anything important we should be looking for when you hire a planner? Did you meet them in person or just spoke over the phone?

Hmmm. I’m a planner and the two that ring a bell are Molly McKinley & B. Moore Events. I’m sure the other planners are lovely but I have heard nothing but the sweetest things about Molly & B Moore Events.
One thing I want to say is I took a spin on everyone’s website and as soon as I got to came to both the above mentioned businesses I remembered why their business rang a bell. They been consistently praised within the wedding industry, that screams a lot! The wedding industry doesn’t praise professionals who they don’t think deserve calling attention to.
A good planner is a good planner, I wouldn’t worry the slightest bit if they’ve worked in your venue or not. I’d say the MOST important thing when you’re looking for a planner is trust & industry knowledge.
You want to work with vendors who understand the complexites of planning & can trouble shoot. And aside from that there needs to be a 1000% trust & transparency that’s built while planning. A good planner will feel more like a friend on your wedding day and less of a vendor, trust me.
Good luck. I think you’re in great hands with whomever you pick.
