I purchased a trumpet(ish) style dress and was planning on wearing David’s Bridal fit and flare (550) slip with it. My dance instructor told me it might be a good idea to wear the skirt to lessons and practice in it to get the feel of it and so my fiance would understand the room I would need. After wearing it I realized I can’t stand it. It fits great at the hips but has this odd band deal that I assume goes under your breasts – mine won’t stay put and bunches and is just over all annoying. Also I want to wear a garter/thigh higs and having this thing under my long line bra didn’t work (and it won’t work for sure over it). I really like how it makes the dress look, but I am all about being comfortable on my wedding day. I want to ask my seamstress if she can remove the top part and sew the fluff part into my dress. Is that ridiculous? Has anyone tried it?
