I work a desk job at a pretty relaxed office (as in people wearing business cas usually get the side eye). A coworker and I were discussing my first dress fitting tonight and how I have to bring in the shoes I’ll be wearing, and how I was hesitant to break them in at home because we have a cat that likes to destroy shoes. She made the smart suggestion that I wear them around the office today to try to break them in before my fitting, which I thought was a great idea!
Except for the dreaded toe cleavage.
I remember when they arrived at my door (ordered online) and tried them on I was a bit let down by how much toe cleavage there was, but it looks way worse now that I’m wearing them at the office. I think part of it is that the toebox is too tight so that I can’t get my toes all the way into the shoes, so hopefully wearing them around will help, but I’m worried that it won’t make that much of a difference. I’m not really a fan of toe cleavage and neither is FI, but one of my trendy coworkers told me that it’s in? I don’t know, maybe in celebrities with nice beautiful toes and not my sausage toes…
So what do you think about toe cleavage in general? Yea or nay?

MrsRevolutionize: I hate it. I won’t wear shoes with toe cleavage

I voted “it’s totally hot,” but I don’t necessarily love it, I just don’t hate it. I have no feelings toward toe cleavage and I would not return a pair of shoes because of it.
Shoe designers know the dimensions of an average foot. If their shoe shows toe cleavage it’s because they meant it to.

I have mixed feelings on it, sometimes I like it, other times I do not. You have cute toes though, so I think it works. Also, for your own enjoyment.
THEY MAKE TOE BRAS. I’m not even kidding, bras to enhance your toe cleavage….

I have no feelings on it. I’ve never looked at someone’s feet and noticed if they have toe cleavage. Thinking about the fit of my shoes I have some that show a bit and others that don’t show anything.

Toe cleavage because your shoes are too small and they’re spilling out – not hot
Toe cleavage because the shoe is cut that way – totally cute!

CHristine2809: Yeah, that’s definitely the case–I know that some Loubotins are made to show toe cleavage to like, the nth degree.
Follydust321: WHAT. I GOTTA SEE THIS. Like?! How does that even work!?

I totally get where your coming from because if I’m trying on shoes at the store I won’t buy them if they have toe cleavage. BUT yours look cute cute and looks like they are cut that way, so I would rock it. I also LOVE the color of your shoes. Can you share where you got them?

Follydust321: Those are so creepy and they look insanely uncomfortable.

I don’t like toe cleavage, it makes me think the shoe doesn’t fit.

Follydust321: That’s insane! That can’t be good for your feet…

I like a tiny bit of toe cleavage, but that looks like a bit much & like your shoes must be uncomfortable

I don’t think it looks bad (honestly I never notice these things on other people), but personally I find it uncomfortable.

Allyg: They’re the Caparros Ingrid shoe in gold, and I got them from Macy’s. I’m not certain if they’re still offered!
sugarpea: They’re weirdly not that uncomfortable! And I’ve already noticed just from wearing them around that the toebox has strethced so it’s not as cleavey. Hahah.
