My wedding colors are tangerine and blue and I’ve already decided what I want my bouquet to look like. Its going to be a combination of blue, orange, yellow, green and white. Like this:
I’m running into problems deciding on my bridesmaid bouquets and the groomswomen bouquets, though. My bridesmaids will be wearing blue dresses and the groomswomen will be wearing orange dresses. My original thought was to have the girls in blue carry orange bouquets, and the groomswomen would carry bouquets of blue hydrangeas. I showed the idea to my Future Sister-In-Law and Future Mother-In-Law and they both thought that it was just an overwhelming amount of color. What are your thoughts on this? Should I try to incorporate different flowers into the girls’ bouquets, or does it look fine as it is?

I think smaller versions of your bouquet would look nice, personally. Rather than a monochromatic bouquet.

I actually like the idea of the monochromatic bouquets for the bm’s and then you can have the different color bouquet all to yourself 🙂

Id go opposite and do monochrome-but only because yours is multi color. If yours were monotone, Id say make theirs multi. It is a lot of color because orange and blue are opposites on the color scale and they are very saturated versions of those colors. So the difference is more stark than it would be if it were, say, pink and yellow or something.

I’d maybe mix the orange and blue together? But I also think it would be fine as is. Love your bouquet!

I actually really like this idea!

maybe if you kept orange flowers with the orange dress and blue flowers with the blue dress it would be less chaotic for them.

I don’t think you can go wrong either way, but I prefer your way. However; I love bright colors!!

Your bouquet is gorgeous! Maybe you could keep the basic idea but break up the Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets a bit with white and yellow?

So many good suggestions! Thanks so much for your input!
I really am partial to bright colors too, (thus the vivid color scheme!) and the flowers are really the only decoration I will be having for the ceremony. We’re getting married by a little cottage right on lake Michigan so we didn’t want to distract too much from the natural beauty of the place. I just wanted to make sure that if we went with the monochormatic theme, that it wouldn’t be TOO distracting, you know?
Also, I am kind of being a brat about this, but I really want my bouquet to stand out against theirs, so that is why I haven’t really considered doing all smaller versions of my bouquet. (Isn’t it awesome?!)

Then I would say monochromatic, blue with blue and orange with orange.
Let us know what you decide! By The Way your bouquet is gorgeous!

I like artbee’s idea cuz I do like the monochromatic bouquets… but you may be safer w/ the mini-multi. Honestly, the first thing I thought when I saw you inspiration photos was… wow, they’re going to look like Auburn U cheerleaders!

I actually really like the monochromatic bouquets with the opposte colored dresses. It’s very clean-looking and it will make your bouquet pop!
